A student from Huihua University in Huihua District, Hunan, was allegedly stabbed to death in the girls' dormitory by her ex-boyfriend on Sunday, according to Weibo posts which have been circulating around after her family appealed to the Internet for justice to be meted out to the suspected murderer.
The Weibo post, which appeared to have been written by the victim's sister, recounted that the victim was a vivacious and gentle girl who was active in the university's dance troupe. The couple had first gotten together in 2012, but the boyfriend began to become insecure and suspicious of the victim towards the end of last year when she returned home for the holidays and kicked up a big fuss. Unable to take it anymore, she told him that she wanted a break-up.
