Pope Francis has said he might have only two or three years left to live.<br />

DailyMail reports that while on a plane trip back from South Korea, Pope Francis told journalists he believed he only had limited time left to complete his reforms of the Roman Catholic Church.<br />
Asked about how he copes with his popularity, he said:<br />
I try to think of my sins, my mistakes, so as not to think that I am some- body important.’<br />

He then added with a smile:<br />
‘Because I know this is going to last a short time, two or three years and then… to the house of the Father.’<br />
<br />
According to a Vatican source, 77-year-old Pope Francis has previously told those close to him that he thought he only had a few years left. He also revealed that he would consider retiring if he felt he could no longer perform his duties. You recall that his predecessor Pope Benedict XVI resigned in February last year.<br />
‘If you asked me if, in the future, I felt I could not go forward, would I do the same? I would do the same. Benedict has opened a door,’ Francis said on board the papal plane.<br />

During Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s sermon on Thursday night at the ongoing 62nd annual convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, .Pastor Adeboye narrated that a high profile woman who was an executive of the West African Examinations Council, WAEC, did everything to seduce him.<br />
According to him, the woman came to him and announced to him that God had told her that he would be her husband, and immediately he rebuked her, saying “you know that I am happily married and have children.” That didn’t deter the woman who continued to pester him, and even came to the camp to threaten him, saying “if you stand on my way to marrying this man, I will kill you.”<br />
Continuing, Pastor Adeboye took the matter to then Inspector General of Police who immediately invited the woman and her husband to his office and after a meeting banned the randy woman from entering the Redemption Camp or ever making passes at the man of God.<br />
. “But that measure didn’t stop her. I travelled to London without telling anybody, to work on the church’s devotional, Open Heaven. As soon as I settled down in the room, the telephone rang and the voice at the other end said: “welcome to London. I am coming in 15 minutes,<br />
 The cleric continued, wondering why his audience responded with a laughter.Continuing, he said he told the voice:<br />

“You don’t know anything, you know that the Police in London are very efficient and if you dare come here, I will call the Police for you.” There is a Police station a few meters from where I am staying and she must have known that because she didn’t come but kept calling me.“I cried to God Who told me ‘You know of the scripture that says, whatever you bind on earth is bound in heaven.’ Believe me honestly, unless God helps, there are thongs you cannot handle on your own,<br />
He stated, urging the large crowd to stand and pray with holy anger:<br />
 “Anyone hindering my progress, before this month is over, Holy Spirit send down Your fire to consume them”.<br />

Pastor Enoch Adeboye leads prayers for Chibok girls, Ebola

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Tuesday led members of the church to offer prayers for the release of the over 200 Chibok schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram in April.<br />
<br />
Adeboye also offered prayers for a quick divine intervention in the Ebola Virus Disease ravaging the West Africa sub-region as the 2014 RCCG Annual Convention got under way in Mowe, Ogun State.<br />
<br />
Nigeria announced its first Ebola death on Wedesday, naming the matron that treated the late Patrick Sawyerr on July 20 as the victim.<br />
<br />
Adeboye charged the congregation to pray for the schoolgirls, who were kidnapped in the premises of the Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State. Only about 51 of the 276 schoolgirls kidnapped have escaped from their abductors.<br />
<br />
Also, 28 children were delivered two days into the convention.<br />
<br />
“Sixteen of the babies born are boys, while 12 are girls,” Adeboye said.<br />
<br />
The theme of the convention, the 62nd in the series, is the ‘Holy Spirit.’ The weeklong event, which started on Monday, will end with the Farewell Service and ordination of pastors on Sunday.<br />
<br />
The ordination of deacons, deaconesses and assistant pastors had been concluded, while the convocation of the Redeemed Christian Bible College held on Wednesday. Friday is the convention’s Holy Ghost Service.<br />

 No be small thing, the richest clergy in Africa, Bishop David Oyedepo is worth over N600 billion.  The founder and shepherd-in-charge of Living Faith World Outreach Ministry, popularly known as Winners Chapel is an epitome of wealth and affluence.<br />
<br />
With the outstanding Cannanland, reportedly worth over N90 billion, with diverse projects erected and revenue accrued from it, four jets valued at N25 billion, N15 billion on  three universities and several other schools, a reported N250 billion housing estate when concluded, annual offering and tithes to the tune of N31.2 billion annually, 7million books estimated to have raked in N1billion, 400 buses worth N600 million, N10 billion Goshen City at Abuja and several other ventures have made him a pastor with uncommon grace for prosperity.<br />
<br />
According to the Wikianswers.com, Bishop Oyedepo is arguably the richest pastor in Africa. The church he founded in 1981 has grown in leaps and bounds. The ministry now has over 2000 satellite branches and present in 60 countries and reportedly boasts of over one million members worldwide and several others via outreaches.<br />
<br />
The bishop pranced into the Guinness Book of World Records in 2008, when he became the pastor of the largest worship centre in the world, with a sitting capacity of 50,000 and an overflow of 250,000 in Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State.<br />
<br />
“The international headquarters of Winners Chapel is called Faith Tabernacle. It covers about 70 acres (280,000 m2) and is built inside an over 10,500-acre (42 km2) church complex called Canaanland, the international headquarters of the ministry in Ota, a suburb of Lagos. The building took 12 months to be completed. The foundation laying held on August 29, 1998 and the announcement of the time frame of one year for the building project was announced on September 13, 1998, by Bishop Oyedepo at the Iyana Ipaja church while work began on September 18, 1998. The dedication of the building held on September 19, 1999 with 97,800 faithful in attendance. Faith Tabernacle is presently the largest church building in the world, with a sitting capacity of 50,400 people and an outside overflow capacity of over 250,000, with four services every Sunday. Construction completed in Canaanland till date is estimated to be not less than $600 million (N90 billion) with an additional Canaan City Estate currently under construction which will be the largest housing estate in Africa and easily one of the largest in the world with 15,000 housing units and at a cost of N250 billion or $1.6 billion. This is part of a grander scheme of 150,000 houses to be built by the church.”<br />

We scooped that he picks an average of N100 million offering and N500 million tithe weekly. The estimate was that if a worshipper pays at least N100 during their four services weekly on Sunday, their over one million members would have paid N100 million.  And an average of 500,000 of the worshippers fulfilling their tithes every Sunday with an average of N1,000 is N5 million. If we add the offering and tithe annually that’s N600 million times 52 weeks and that’s N31.2 billion annually. But note that even an individual at times paid several millions on a Sunday as tithe,” a source divulged.<br />

As an educationist, Bishop David Oyedepo’s mission currently pioneers the establishment of educational institutions at all levels in and outside Nigeria, including the widely established Hebron or Covenant University with over 7,000 students as well as Faith Academy with 1,500 students both in Canaanland. Covenant University was well documented in a Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) documentary on Nigeria’s 50th Independence Anniversary because of landmark achievements in its few years of existence. Covenant University was adjudged the best private university in Nigeria in 2005, and one of the goals of the institution is to be among the best in the world by or before 2020.<br />
<br />
According to Bishop Oyedepo, “Covenant University is not just an institution, it is a revolution in education.”<br />
<br />
Faith Academy on the other hand placed fourth of all secondary schools in Nigeria during the 2010 Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE). The second university of the church known as Landmark University in Omu Aran, Kwara State, was approved by the Nigerian Government in March 2011 and immediately resumed academic activities the same month with about 1000 students. Construction at Landmark University is estimated to be in the realm of at least $50 million (N7 billion) so far, while Bishop Oyedepo insists that ‘spending continues’. Landmark University (LU) has the mandate of spearheading an agrarian revolution in Nigeria. Bishop David Oyedepo stated in August 2010 that it takes a ride of more than 100km to go around the walls of Landmark University. Landmark University is 1,400 acres. The third one under construction is Crown University in Calabar, Cross River State. There are strong plans for about four more universities across Africa including Abuja, Ghana, Democratic Republic of Congo and Kenya as announced by Bishop Oyedepo during Shiloh 2007.<br />

1,000 acres have already been acquired for the university in Ghana, while 300 hectares (about 750 acres) have been acquired for the Congo university and this is going to be a French speaking university. Recently, President Yahya Jammeh of The Gambia appealed to the World Mission Agency (WMA) of the Living Faith Church to build a university in The Gambia.<br />
<br />
Some other projects that were announced during the initial foundation laying in Canaanland in 1999, include a towering administrative headquarters and a 500 bed hospital among many other projects.<br />
<br />
Winners’ Chapel also runs a chain of about 30 secondary schools and over 50 primary and nursery schools in Nigeria. The secondary schools are known as Faith Academies except those within the universities known as Covenant University and Landmark University Secondary Schools respectively. The nursery and primary schools are known as Kingdom Heritage Model Schools (KHMS). Some of the secondary schools are in Badagry, Iyana Ipaja, Ibadan, Asaba, Kaduna, Ilorin and Osogbo. The mission is presently working on building at least a secondary school each in every country in Africa.<br />
<br />
The Winners Chapel currently has a Goshen City which is a camp like Canaanland in Abuja and is along kilometre 26, Abuja-Keffi Road. It has an ultra-modern auditorium which accommodates over 15,000 and a secondary school, Faith Academy, a youth centre as well as Kingdom Heritage Model School (nursery and primary) which were all dedicated on October 2, 2010. The auditorium is a replica of the Faith Tabernacle. Goshen is complete with a dual-carriage way running through the 740 acre facility with street lightning as well as a housing estate with over 45 housing units among others and all these were constructed in only 15 months. There are plans for a university to be built in Goshen. Goshen is now the mission headquarters of the Living Faith Church. It is worth over N15 billion.  All over Nigeria and Africa, Winners Chapel has a lot of architectural masterpieces which emphasize utility. The use of pillars in their auditorium are de-emphasized as these enable every worshipper to have visual access to the altar. Some of these masterpieces are Faith Tabernacle, Canaanland, Goshen, along Km 26 Abuja-Keffi Expressway, the old site of Winners Chapel in Durumi, Abuja, built in 6 months; Garden of Faith, Kaduna, Winners Chapel, Kano, Winners Chapel, Benue and Winners Chapel, Nairobi (Wonderland), Kenya to mention a few. Winners Chapel, Nairobi is the largest church auditorium in East and Central Africa and the auditorium sits 20,000. Reportedly worth N3.5 billion, it was dedicated in April 20, 2013.<br />

Other assets of the church include four aircraft (Gulfstream 1, 2 and 4 and a Lear jet) currently each of the Gulfsteam worth N8 billion. That’s N24 billion while the Lear jet a old one was worth N1billion.<br />

During a Powerhouse Meeting in April 1982, David Oyedepo listed seven areas where God had spoken to him concerning the future of the ministry. He stated that, “At the base of the commission will be a tent which will sit 50,000 people”. He stated that very soon there will be millions gathering at the base to listen to the gospel. He added that he saw them flying with the gospel on wings which showed that soon the ministry will have her own aircraft. He added that the whole world will soon be able to hear the message of the commission from the base. At that time, the internet as we know it today was not in view. At the inception of the ministry, David Oyedepo got instruction to commit the spoken word into writing with the same measure of proof. This led to the establishment of the Dominion Publishing House which won the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Gold Award in 1996, and has produced over 7 million books till date.<br />
<br />
Every December, Winners’ Chapel holds its annual prophetic gathering, called Shiloh. The annual Shiloh and normal church services at the Faith Tabernacle can be viewed online real time approximately,  over 500,000 people attend the Shiloh and if each of them spent at least 2000 at the six days event, that’s an average of N1 billion.<br />

Deeper Life Bible Church Pastor Sentenced To Six Years Imprisonment For Fraud

Ifeanyichukwu Eric Abakporo, a Pastor of the Deeper Life Bible Church, has been sentenced to six years imprisonment by a federal court in New York.<br />

The former Brooklyn-based civil attorney will be spending time in a United States prison in a case of defrauding banks, mortgage lenders, property owners, and property buyers.<br />
Mr. Abakporo was sentenced on Wednesday, May 28 along with his co-defendant, Latanya Pierce, who received a lighter, 30-month sentence.<br />
<br />
They were both found guilty of the federal charges of conspiracy to commit bank fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, and bank transfer fraud, involving at least two mortgage property lenders.<br />
Abakporo will most likely be deported to Nigeria after he is done serving his sentence, with the likelihood of a three-year supervisory probation release waved.<br />
<br />
The presiding judge in the federal case, US District Judge Shira A. Scheindlin immediately remanded the accused into custody.<br />
His wife and two children wept openly in the courtroom as he was being taken away in handcuffs.<br />
The legal fate of Abakporo and Pierce was never in doubt.  Both were convicted in 2013, in a wide-ranging series of illegal transactions in New York City defrauding banks, mortgage lenders, property owners, and property buyers over a nine-year stretch, dating back to 2003.<br />

The singer turned born-again prophet received a lot of backlash over his initial prophesy which gave a warning of doom ahead for singers, Wizkid and Davido. Even the seat of power, Aso rock could not escape his fiery prophecy.<br />
<br />
In a recent interview with Punch Newspapers, he shed more light the vision he says God revealed to him.<br />
<br />
He said:<br />

“I have always been in the public eye. My marriage caused a scenario in this country. I don’t know what people saw in me. Anybody who feels I am seeking for attention is making a serious mistake; I am too busy for that. I am in Abuja at the moment; I am heading to Lagos and Port Harcourt before the end of the week. I am busy. I am just doing the work of my father.<br />
<br />
It was my God who instructed me to give the prophecy and I have done that. I am not wishing anybody anything bad. All they have to do is to pray. I have received calls from Aso Rock. I got prophesies for Wizkid, Davido and Aso Rock and I said what God asked me to say. I told them to pray. God doesn’t give you prophecy for you to be scared but for you to be aware and pray about it.<br />
<br />
Asked why he didn’t call Wizkid and Davido privately to intimate them of the prophecy before making it public, Soul E answered:<br />

They are not my friends and I don’t talk to them. In fact, I have never seen them before and I am not sure they know me. I am not saying they are my enemies. I had to go on Facebook and Instagram to pass my messages. I have said what I want to say and it is fine by me. If they want to take it, fine and if they don’t want to, that is not my problem. I am not a pastor, I am a prophet. A prophet announces his prophecies.<br />
<br />
When asked if he was shown other things, Soul E answered in the affirmative revealing that two governors will die before the end of 2015.<br />
<br />
<br />
He told me two northern governors will go, they will die before the end of 2015. This is what God showed me. Prophets come to tell you what God is saying about a situation. Pastors will tell you ‘you are blessed,’ Prophets will tell you to be careful or tell you not to marry the particular person you wanted to marry because of the vision they had seen.<br />

A Pentecostal reverend, Pastor Jamie Coots of 'Full Gospel Tabernacle in Jesus Name', known for preaching with snakes coiled around him has lost his life after one of the creatures suddenly bit him.<br />

Pastor Coots, before his death, starred in National Geographic's reality show about snake-handling in church and said he believed Christians were instructed by Jesus Christ in Mark 16:15-18,  to pick up serpents, and they will never be hurt, as long as they are anointed by God.<br />
The specific verses read:<br />
<br />
 "And these signs shall accompany them that believe: in my name shall they cast out demons;<br />
they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall in no wise hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." <br />
 So, by relying on the "anointing," or empowering of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Coots preached that believers will be supernaturally protected from harm when handling snakes.<br />
