During the Burial Ceremony of the Late Nollywood Actor, Muna Obiekwe, John Okafor popularly known as Mr. Ibu, while giving a short speech offered to sponsor one of Muna’s children.</div>

AlThough He Spoke in Igbo Language, and our friends from Inside Nollywood helped us with the translation.</div>

He also encouraged his colleagues to do same instead of blaming the death. This gesture was greatly appreciated by fans that were in attendance.</div>

The remains of controversial Nollywood star, Muna Obiekwe who passed away at the age of 36 on Sunday, January 18, 2015, is said to be presently embalmed at the Nigerian Naval Reference Hospital‘s morgue in Alakija, Satellite Town, Lagos.<br />
Muna Obiekwe’s Burial Plan<br />
An attendant at the morgue, who pleaded anonymity, confirmed that the body was brought in from a private hospital in Festac where the actor passed away on Sunday evening.<br />
It was also gathered exclusively that his corpse will be at the well-guarded Naval base until his family members will move it to St. Edwards Hospital‘s morgue in Obosi, Onitsha, Anambra State.<br />

The actor is from Anambra State and the arrangements by his family members will see his corpse moved to his state of origin on Saturday, January 24, 2015. When Muna’s widow was contacted (who sounded quite young, well educated but firm and confident) on the phone, she refused to divulge her name or have any discussion whatsoever with the correspondent.<br />
<br />
The attendant stationed at the morgue said the woman laid down very strict instructions that her name, contact or details be divulged to no one no matter the circumstance. Efforts to get the deceased actor’s wife to at least comment on burial plans or disclose her name or history of marriage to Muna proved abortive as she insisted on protecting her family’s privacy. The stand is not dissimilar to the late actor’s lifestyle as he was very popular, intensely controversial but reportedly very elusive about his personal life.<br />

A number of his colleagues who do not want their name in print allege that Muna suffered in silence, to the point of death from Renal Failure. The level of compliance to Muna’s wife’s instructions at the Naval hospital’s morgue gives an indication that she either has a military background or one of the late actor’s relatives is connected to the military in a way. This is because it is very difficult, if not almost impossible, to embalm a corpse in a military health facility without being a personnel or having strong military ties.<br />
<br />
Another source claimed that the deceased wife is a sister to a retired general thus, he has been keeping the media away from her family with the use of the military.<br />
Photographers are currently not allowed inside Naval Hospital in Satellite Town to avoid leaking his remains to the public.<br />

From some of the sad posts that Muna’s colleagues posted on their various social media accounts, it was made known that the actor, who is survived his wife and children, died after he could not afford the fee the Nigerian health care was demanding.<br />
<br />
Nollywood actors, Uche Jumbo, Mike Ezuruonye, Stella Damasus and others who confirmed the death of the talented Nollywood actor, also in their posts made it known that they were all in the dark as to his health condition. Even Nigeria’s Actors’ Guild president, Ibinabo Fiberesima, was unaware of the actor’s illness before his sudden death.<br />
<br />
Some of the actors and actresses confirmed from their posts also that the film industry in Nigeria is no better than a ‘make-believe’, as everyone is just content with the publicity and showing off involved in the business. Actress, Ify Okeke made it known that there are no real friends in the industry.<br />
<br />
It is also true that the health system in Nigeria needs a revamp as unconfirmed reports said that the late actor needed only N50k for dialysis per day and Muna allegedly could not afford this. Ify Ikeke thinks that, although Muna did not open up to anyone in the industry about his health situation, most of our actors and actresses prefer showing off to helping fellow colleagues.<br />

It would be recalled that the popular musician and music director, OJB Jezreel, had a kidney transplant in India with the help of his celebrity colleagues who donated generously. But in Muna’s case, there was a sad end, as the Internet went abuzz yesterday, Sunday, January 19, 2015 when news of his death surfaced online. Just confirmed it from some close friends and relatives that he is really dead. The message from twitter that he was still alive was from a fake account. So this is my pain, how do you know what to believe and what not to believe? Where do we draw the line?<br />

Over nine thousand people on twitter have believed that he is still alive because of the fake twitter account. REST IN PEACE BRO! I was really hoping that it was a rumor. God rest your soul. This is too painful. Whoever put that message out not the fake twitter account should be careful. Don’t play games with people’s lives like that.<br />
