Premier League says Lampard is fully a City player, never signed for New York City FC

The Premier League has confirmed that Frank Lampard did not sign for New York City and is fully owned by Manchester City. Lampard was unveiled as a new arrival at the Major League Soccer club after leaving Chelsea and then completed a ‘short-term’ loan deal to City.
This loan deal has been extended to the end of the season, but the Premier League has stated that City holds all his registration details.
“The Premier League has sought and received assurances from Manchester City that there is no agreement in place between the club or City Football Group with New York City FC relating to the player,” they told ESPN.
